The Fluke 789 process meter combines the functionality of a full-featured loop calibrator with the power of a CAT III 1000V / CAT IV 600V safety rated digital multimeter.
The 789 has a large, dual display with two levels of backlighting and externally accessible fuse and batteries for easy replacement.
The 789 provides all standard DMM capabilities including frequency measurement to 20 kHz; min/max/average/hold/relative modes; diode testing; a continuity beeper and the ability to troubleshoot every part of the loop.
Measure, source and simulate 4-20 mA signals; measure resistance and power; and provide 24V power plus 250-ohm HART resistance to the loop.
The 789 includes SpanCheck; 0% and 100% buttons for easy 4 and 20 mA sourcing; and 1200-ohm drive capability. The display can simultaneously show mA and % of scale readings for faster troubleshooting.
The 789 offers manual step, 100%, 25%, coarse, fine, plus auto-step and auto-ramp. It delivers 0.1% DC voltage accuracy and 0.05% DC current accuracy.
The Fluke IR3000FC module and Connect mobile app (both available separately) also let you log data wirelessly to your smartphone or tablet.
